Adam was one of Geni's early engineers and built the core of its Newsfeed engine—a Ruby map/reduce system he called Skynet and later presented at RailsConf. When David Sacks came up with the idea that became Yammer, Adam transitioned to the new product and eventually became its CTO. We worked together across both Geni and Yammer. After Microsoft acquired Yammer, Adam went on to found several companies, including Abl and Let’s Gooo.

Amos replaced Alan Braverman as Geni's CTO after Yammer spun out of Geni. He is one of the most brilliant engineers and engineering leaders I have worked with. After Geni, he went on to serve as CTO of Flexport and continued his career as a technology executive.

Andrew and I go back to 1999 at Digital Evolution, where he was working on Warner Bros. games. He later convinced me to leave SOA Software and join Geni. We went on to work together across Geni, Yammer, and Bird, making him one of the longest-running collaborators in my career.

Arun and I met at Triangle about a year ago. We do not share the long history I have with many collaborators here, but we now work closely together. His experience as a patient—and the story that became the reason for Triangle Health—resonated deeply with me and was a decisive factor in my decision to leave Bird and join the company.

Björn and I worked together for many years at Bird across numerous product features and integrations with third-party mobility platforms, including Forest and Lyft. He brought a rare ability to take complex products, explain them in simple terms, and keep the team sharply focused on the priorities that mattered.

Chan and I officially joined Bird on the same day. He is one of the best engineers I have ever worked with, and we collaborated across internal platforms and hackathons throughout our time there. We probably argued more than anyone else on the engineering team, but those arguments consistently led to productive discoveries and better product decisions.

David was the visionary founder behind Geni and Yammer, and we worked together across both companies. He later became an investor in Bird. Today he is a Founder and Partner at Craft Ventures, whose portfolio spans companies including Uber, Airbnb, Anduril, Bird, and many other defining technology businesses. He is also an active co-host of the All-In Podcast.

Ian and I met at Geni, where he designed the product's UI and we collaborated on many features, including the Facebook integration and tr8n. He also became a founding product engineer at Yammer. After Geni, Ian joined Amos Elliston at the mobile gaming startup Pocket Change while I continued working with MyHeritage after its acquisition of Geni. When we had both moved on, we reunited and formed the partnership that became Translation Exchange.

Jason and I met at Bird after he joined from Snap, where he had built many features for the Snapchat mobile application. He led Bird's mobile transformation from an early prototype into the fast, responsive iOS platform it became. After Bird he returned to Snap, and later Justin Balthrop, Jonathan Grubb, and I convinced him to join Triangle Health.

Jonathan and I met at Bird, where he was one of the early product managers and led initiatives across an unusually broad range of the company's growing platform. We worked together on numerous products before our careers crossed again at Triangle Health, the shared AI workspace for patients and practitioners that he launched with Justin Balthrop and Arun Verma.

Our collaboration now spans three distinct chapters of my career: social platforms and localization, global mobility infrastructure, and AI-powered healthcare.

Michael joined Bird from NationBuilder as a Senior Technical Manager in 2019, while the company was still at an early stage. I was one of his interviewers and strongly supported hiring him. We worked together most closely during Bird's later years, when Michael was leading the engineering organization as VP of Engineering. He recently returned to an individual-contributor role at Airbnb, where he is directly building products and applying AI along the way.

I originally interviewed Prat and vouched for him to join Bird in 2018. During Bird's rapid growth, we worked together across many products. When I was an engineering manager, Prat was on my team building internal administration systems and later GovTech products from Bird's early Culver City office. He eventually moved from engineering into product management and became a Director of Product.

Vlad is one of the best and most prolific engineers at Bird. His name appears throughout an extraordinary number of the company's repositories. Chan Nguyen introduced us while Bird was still in the Santa Monica WeWork; I interviewed Vlad, gave him a mapping assignment, and strongly supported hiring him. I was already confident he would excel, and eight years later he is still building at Bird.
